Infectious

TO:Shannon

Her smile is as infectious
As the sweetest honey
The Earth could supply
Who would think a Mack Truck
Could be disguised in a 5”2” frame
Rollin over hearts like that
Story at eleven
Another brother lain in the street
Heart broke
Her still a Queen born of a Queen
Don’t ask
Cause she doesn’t answer
Justice can be served
Without your knowledge
Although you will feel the withdrawal pains
Have you calling in exact figures
If you can count
But even with all that
You won’t forget her smile
Beauty one
The beast zero
Time to change the script
I forgive beauty
Each time I see her
I will see the joy in her father’s eyes
Spoilin her
I will see the protectiveness of her brother’s heart
Guarding her
I will see the love her mother
Nurturer of her
And one day after forgiveness
When I need to be saved
Drama would have left her heart
And she may become my heroine
All said and done
I forgive her
Will smile when I see her
Wave if she sees me
Look out for her village
Cause it crosses my own
And watch for her
Infectious smile
Because without any effort
It could have me
Laid in a hospital bed
On antibiotics
Wonderin what hit me
And made me dizzy
Not wantin to wake up
I’ll always be willin to listen to her
When she’s talking again
Until then She is a friend
forgiven
No one has the power to hurt me but me
And I am not in the habit of causin pain
Just healing… building.. and loving..
I ain’t scaard..
